Good friends are really hard to find. They gotta be there for you even when you’re wrong. But at the same time, they can’t just tell what you wanna hear. They’ve also gotta be willing to tell you what you need to hear. That’s the real reason true love’s so hard to find. Because the basis of love is friendship. And friendship is really, really rare.

I want to be like water. I want to slip through fingers, but hold up a ship.
Never neglect the little things. Never skimp on that extra effort, that additional few minutes, that soft word of praise or thanks, that delivery of the very best that you can do. It does not matter what others think, it is of prime importance, however, what you think about you. You can never do your best, which should always be your trademark, if you are cutting corners and shirking responsibilities. You are special. Act it. Never neglect the little things.

Living Conditions as an Intern
Hi!
Just a little update about my life as an intern - for the people who have been asking me what my living conditions are. Heh.
The hostel at Holiday Inn Central Plaza Beijing has been much better than I had originally expected! Ke Yi and I were given a connecting room and we used one of it as our sleeping room and the other as a walk-in closet. TEEHEE. The bed is a super single (I think) they have comfy pillows and thick blankets and there’s even a television in the room! WHEEEE
The toilet’s a tad cramped though. There are about 6 rooms in the apartment (including our connecting rooms) - which makes up to 7 girls. So we have a common toilet together which has rather usable bathing conditions. The only thing is that the hotel is trying to save on the utility bill. Hence, they are rationing the amount of water they’re giving to us for our baths. They provide these bathing cards which you use to bathe.
Enough with the long descriptions! I’ll let the pictures do the talking in the next post!
What kills love? Only this: Neglect. Not to see you when you stand before me. Not to think of you in the little things. Not to make the road wide for you, the table spread for you. To choose you out of habit not desire, to pass the flower seller without a thought. To leave the dishes unwashed, the bed unmade, to ignore you in the mornings, make use of you at night. To crave another while pecking your cheek. To say your name without hearing it, to assume it is mine to call.
